- My first solo album! I'll be heading into Jim Roll's Backseat Productions Studios in the next few weeks and am eager to share a bunch of new songs and a few that I've been working on for years. I'll be working with my new band, The Sweet Insurrection, that features some of my absolute favorite musicians including bassist Brennan Andes, drummer Griffin Bastian, and keyboardist Jesse Clayton of The Macpodz and mandolinist Jacob Jolliff of Joy Kills Sorrow and Mutual Kumquat. - The Funky Farmer Newsic Program! An exciting new project mixing my loves of music, politics, veggies, and activism. A new addition to the Funky Farmer enterprise is the series 'Germinate to Activate!' that highlights folks in the music, food, and activist worlds who are bringing creativity and vision to their work. The ideas keep coming and I'm looking forward to more Funky Farmer Newsic songs and Germinate to Activate features this fall!! Check it out!

- Mutual Kumquat is entering its 11th year! Hard to believe. With a new album of original music ('Let's Get Fruity') released in 2010 and our first album of hymn arrangements ('For the beauty of the earth') just released in July 2011, the good vibes keep flowing. The band's song "One Life," from the 2004 album 'Dream on it,' will be featured in the upcoming movie Within Reach, that tells the captivating story of a couple who bicycled more than 6,500 miles across the country visiting over 100 intentional communities. We're so thrilled to be a part of the project!
- Collaboration with Michigan artist and singer-songwriter Michael Anne Erlewine. Michael Anne is a soulful vocalist and musician who writes beautiful and compelling tunes. We performed together for the first time this September at this year's Earthwork Harvest Gathering, one of the true gem's of the Midwest festival circuit. We're looking forward to more chances to play together as the future unfolds.
